Dear Team Koru Whānau,

I hope you are all doing well.

One of our students in Room 10  has a severe nut allergy and I am asking for your support in keeping them safe and healthy. 

We kindly ask that no nuts or foods containing nuts are included in your child's lunchbox. We also ask that you remind your child to only eat the food packed for them and not to share food with others. We will be reinforcing this message across Team Koru as well.

We understand that this may require some changes for some families, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and support. By working together, we can help ensure that Room 10 remains a safe environment for all of our learners.

If you have any questions or are unsure whether a particular food is suitable, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

⏰ Arriving on Time 

It is important that your child arrives at school on time each day so they can settle in and get ready for a successful day of learning.

🏃‍♀️ Picking Up Early? 

If you are picking your child up early, please make sure to sign them out at the office before leaving.

🏊 Swimming 

Swimming takes place in Terms 1 and 4 only.

🧢 Label Everything 

Please make sure all your child’s clothing, drink bottles, and school items are clearly named — this helps us return lost items quickly!

💧 Healthy Eating at GTS 

A reminder that GTS is a water-only school. We ask that tamariki do not bring fizzy drinks or lollies to school, as we are promoting healthy choices.

🍽 Hot Lunches Provided 

Don’t forget — we offer free hot, yummy lunches every day for all learners.
