All about me:

Hi! My name is Mrs. Walter and I am the Reading Specialist at Forest Avenue School. I have been teaching in Glen Ridge for over 30 years, beginning my career as a first grade teacher. I love being part of the exciting process of learning to read! My favorite events of the school year are the Two Schools, One Book Project in January, Read Across America, and our special Golden Leaf Award project. I also love introducing students to my favorite authors and books. Family reading is a passion of mine. I live in West Caldwell with my husband, our son, and our miniature schnauzer, Pepper. We love reading chapter books together, Friday movie nights, family vacations, garage sales, and just being together!
