Ms. Arlene Walker
Senior Coordinator,Upper Sixth Form"Hi Sixth Formers!"
As past student, and now teacher, I can really understand what it means to join the sixth form program. Additionally, I am fully aware of the ins and outs, the manner in which you will need to navigate the next two years, and the potential problems you will face. But you, along with us, your teachers and coordinators, will hammer through them. Get pumped and let's do this...TOGETHER!
Make sure to visit the coordinators' page and check our schedule to see our deadlines.
Beyond that, keep your ears peeled for announcements regarding external examination (CAPE) registration.
Welcome Sixth Formers
This is where we communicate and get you ready for your goals. We believe in preparation for university and college, and the impact you will have in the global community. Keep your wits and your spiritual compass intact as you ride this new wave.
So what is Glenmuir Sixth form really about? Well we can surmise it in this way:
You are student leaders.
You are academically prolific
You are models for lower school
You bare the student standard of Glenmuir.
As a Sixth Form student leader, you are expected to fill all duties that come with the position of sixth former. You will be assigned to help manage classes with and for teachers.
Even though your major focus will be your academic and spiritual growth, we implore you to become leaders in clubs and societies. These initiatives are designed for you to understand and employ leadership skills. These will help you understand governance, role play, business and power structure, and most of all TEAM work.
To the right, are the very First Winners of the UTECH Mathematics competition. Their coaches will tell you that these young men were by far some of the best they've ever worked with, and their accomplishment will live on. This is what our clubs and societies help to do: foster soft skills and give YOU national recognition.
What are you waiting for?
