Okay. We tend to only use that in Christendom. However, we cannot but feel excited for you as you begin this new chapter in your own book of life, and we are proud that you have made Glenmuir your editor in chief. So, at the ready, at the ready; because at Glenmuir, we hit the ground running! Above all things, you will be challenged intellectually, spiritually and emotionally, and that is the perception you should have. You will be taught, assessed, then taught and assessed again, and of course we add the need for you to create some time for extra-curricular activities. These are your challenges; not problems to get rid of, but problems to fix. So get out your tool kits.
Whether you think so or not, we believe in you spiritual development. As a Christian community, part of the important values that we instill is the need for you to experience your own walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. This is our fundamental claim to contribution to your growth. For "in Christ we move, breathe and have our being". It is his flame that sparks our motto: Flagrans Veritatis Studion....burning with the zeal for truth.
You will always have important things to do and tests to take. Adhering to our schedule and strict adherence to our advice and your own studying routines, is what will get you through. Please see our website for the breakdown of how assessments are done.
We advise you that as soon as you get settled, you should begin to search out the many clubs and societies that we are affiliated with. Many of them are quite inspirational and have a global appeal. You should also be thinking of getting involved in one sporting activity. Don't hold yourself back. Try each one for a while or find out more about each and make a wise choice based on your ideals, and your experiences.
