Welcome to the Room 12 classroom blog for 2018. It was wonderful to meet so many of you today and be able to answer any of the questions that you had. For those of you I did not meet, my name is Siouxzan Barlow and I will be the classroom teacher in Room 12 again this year. If you have any questions or concerns, always feel free to send me an email to sbarlow@glenfieldint.school.nz and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

As I mentioned to many of you during the interviews, we have alot of exciting topics and units of work that we will be starting in the next few weeks and we would love to be able to share all of it with you. We will be using a couple of platforms to share students' leaning this year! We will see what works for everyone but this will be the place to follow the class as a whole and once we have our Seesaw accounts up and running - you'll be able to look at your child's individual learning journey on that platform, also. We'll keep you in the loop when these things start happening!

A few reminders for the start of term:

• School starts at 8:45 tomorrow (1st February) for year 8s and 10:00am for year 7s. Year 8s are to come straight to class, year 7s to meet on the top courts by the hall.
• Any concerns about students' school uniform, please refer to the school uniform information - found under the school information tab.
• There is a teachers only day on the 6th March - students are not to attend school on this day.
• Please make sure any forms have been filled in and returned (BYOD, Internet agreement, EOTC consent form, fees, etc.)
