Milo Fundraiser
Every Friday after school
Outside the mini hall - Bring your Glendowie School keep cup to be filled with milo (if you didn't purchase a Glendowie School keep cup but another one at home, you can bring that along.)
Milo is $2 and can be purchased using the Milo fundraiser token, a Frosty Friday card or $2 coin.

Second Hand Uniform Shop
First Monday of Every Month
Open at the Glendowie Presbyterian Church (next door to the school) on the first Monday of every month from 8:15-8:45am.
If the first Monday of the month falls on a school holiday, it will be postponed to the following Monday.

If you have any surplus uniform items, you can drop them into the school office. It would be appreciated if the items were washed - but not essential.

Runathon
Term 3
Sponsor your kids based on the number of laps they do around the run course:
Years 1 & 2 - around the astro turf
Years 3 - 8 - around a circuit using the concrete path at Glendowie Park opposite the school
Participating in the runathon:
All students have a practice run and record the number of laps they have achieve on a sponsor sheet
Sponsors can sponsor per lap completed or give a donation for participating in the run
There is no obligation to obtain sponsors
Parents, please encourage your child to participate
All children who participate will receive a small lemonade ice block after their run

Friday, 10 September 2021 (TBC) - Entry paid at the door
Sensory disco (open to all who prefer a quieter disco with less flashing lights) - 5:00-5:30pm
Junior disco (Years 0-4) - 5:30-6:45pm
Senior disco (Years 5-8) - 7:00-8:30pm
Photo booth & Tuck shop open - CASH ONLY!
Note: Parents/caregivers must drop-off & pick-up their children from inside the hall.

Family Colour Run
Friday, 5 November 2021 (TBC)
Let's get our school community together for this fun event. Parents, grandparents, students & siblings are all welcome to participate.
Participant will run for +/-10-min and complete as many laps of the course as they can.
The course will have a number of obstacles including a water slide & colour station.
Get ready to get dirty!
Tickets
Will be available to purchase from Kindo prior to the event.
All participants must purchase a ticket. Children under 5 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Colour Powder
100% natural & non-toxic.
Made from cornflour and food dyes.

What to Wear
White or light coloured t-shirt.
Be creative & accessorise with coloured head gear, tutu etc.
Sensitive eyes, bring some swimming goggles.
Powders won't stain clothes, skin or hair. Although colours wash out very easy, we advise you not to wear your best clothes.
Frosty Friday
Term 1 & Term 4 - Every Friday at 3pm
Ice blocks sold on the courts outside the school office.
$2 each or $20 (10 ice blocks) for a Frosty Friday punch card.
Punch cards can be purchased at the Frosty Friday table (cash only), from the office (eftpos is available) or on Kindo, under the Parents' Association section.
Glen Innes Food Bank Collection
Last day of the School Year
The children are allowed to wear mufti to school and instead of bringing a gold coin donation we encourage everyone to bring a non-perishable item of food (and or a gift).
All these item are taken to the Glen Innes Foodbank to help those families in need.

School Camp Night
Saturday 20th March 2021
Book your site on kindo for $30 per site.
Pitch a tent on the school field and sleep under the stars or bring your campervan.
Bring your torch and be ready for an adventure!
Sausage sizzle will be available to purchase and Mr Whippy will make an appearance.
For breakfast: Bacon & egg butties and coffee will be available.

School Movie Night
Friday 18 June 2021
A fun night for the kids; showing 2 movies (voted by the students), in the school hall:
Junior movie (Years 0-4 / 4:15pm – 6:00pm) - Trolls World Tour
Senior movie (Years 5-8 / 6:45pm – 9:00pm) - Dora and the Lost City of Gold
Bring a cushion/beanbag/sleeping bag/pillow etc. to make themselves comfortable.
Note: Parents/caregivers must pick-up their children from from inside the hall foyer.

Note: Tickets must be purchased by 5pm Wednesday, 16th June - NO TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER THIS CUT OFF DATE!
