Final Week of School!
Op Art
Kudos to all the students that completed their May Projects! It’s been fun seeing your progress and finished work! If you got a late start on your May Project and need an extra week to work, you can still work on it this week and share your final work in this week’s Flipgrid! For those of you that are ready for one last art project this year, we’ll be doing an Op Art project this week! (Fourth graders that already did Op Art, I will be teaching an illusion that I didn’t teach to you, yet!)

Last week was technically the last week of May Projects, but if you got started late and need an extra week (or just want to work on your project an extra week), you can extend your work through next week, too! Nicole Gordon's Tantamount to Cordial
NIcole Gordon's Coloring Pages/Contest!
Those of you that were in Mrs. Berkoff's class last year may remember the guest artist we had visit our class last year, Nicole Gordon! Nicole is an extra special artist because she lives in Glencoe and is even the mother of two of our West School students! She creates incredible surrealist paintings and has created coloring pages that you can download and color. One of the art museums that shows her artwork is hosting a giveaway (for a signed print of her artwork or art supplies)! To enter, print off one of her coloring pages, color it in, take a good photo of it and email it to me!

Jen Stark's Coloring Book!
Fourth graders already know all about Jen Stark's fantastical drawings, paintings and sculptures, and I'm sure that third graders will recognize her work from looking at the 4th grade Op Art that was hanging in on the walls at West before our learning experiences flipped upside-down! I'm SO excited to share with you that she's created a free, online coloring book. Click here to download and print the pages!

Quarantine Art Club
Carson Ellis, one of my favorite illustrators (author/illustrator of Du Iz Tak? and Home), has created a Quarantine Art Club, with daily prompts and lessons on her blog.
If you choose to complete any of her daily challenges, please share them in the EXTRAS Flipgrid! I will probably be participating in a few of them, too!
LUnch Doodles with Mo!
Beloved author/illustrators, Mo Willems, is making a daily lunch doodle and inviting others to participate with him! Mo Willems is the author and illustrator of children's books, like Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! and Knuffle Bunny.
