Student E-Learning Hours
The First Day of School
We recommend new students set up their Chromebook prior to the first day of school. All students will sign-in to Google using their Glenbrook account and open Google Classroom to start each class each day.
A Zoom link for each class will be posted in each Google Classroom. In addition, teachers will be emailing students the Zoom link for the first class.
Here is a short presentation to learn how to login to Google Classroom and Zoom. The first day of school is a GOLD day.
*Note - if you have multiple Google Classrooms for the same class, double-check your schedule in PowerSchool to make sure the block and teacher match.
The E-Learning experience will be significantly different from what took place in the spring, when state mandates limited our ability to deliver a high-quality E-Learning experience. Under the 2020-2021 E-Learning model:
● Students will follow a structured schedule with required synchronous learning experiences as part of every class as new content is introduced by teachers. Additional tiers of academic services will be available as needed to support student success and well-being.
● Assessments will be delivered, due dates will be enforced, grades will count, and attendance will be taken.
● Students will be expected to activate their camera when participating in synchronous E-Learning.
Students will be invited to join each of their teacher's Google Classrooms where learning materials will be provided. Zoom will be used for synchronous learning sessions.
