Testing out of a math course occurs on designated testing dates in the summer only.Â
See updated information about test out sign-ups and dates at the GLHS School Students Services Page.
Contact Mr. Logel at LogelD@glcomets.net with questions about test out sign-ups.
All math test-outs are multiple-choice and any applicable reference sheets allowed on the exam are linked below.
Questions related to the material covered on the exams should be directed to Mrs. Karrer at KarrerC@glcomets.net.
On the day of the test:
Please bring a calculator and a pencil. Â
Scrap paper will be provided.
Students get a maximum of 90 minutes to complete any individual test out exam.
For a student to earn credit for the course they must earn at least an 80% on the test out exam.Â
To test out of an entire course (e.g. Algebra 2) you'll need to sign up to take and pass a test out exam for each trimester of the course (e.g. Algebra 2A, Algebra 2B, and Algebra 2C).
You may access the textbook free of charge online at my.hrw.com using your school email and password to log in. There are lesson tutorials, videos, and quizzes to help you prepare for the test. Contact Mrs. Karrer (KarrerC@glcomets.net) if you have difficulty logging into the website.
The sections of the designated textbooks covered in each course are listed below for studying purposes.
A blank copy of each test-out review assignment along with the applicable answer key is provided for each course.
