Suggestions for Supporting your Child

On this website you will see suggestions for helping your child learn and achieve. Look in the "School-to Home Connection" section of each monthly news page. Please take a few minutes to read through these monthly pages so you will know what your child is learning and how you can help. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions! Home to School Folder

Students will receive a "home to school" folder on the first day of school. Students will place any important papers/notices/homework in this folder at the close of the day to bring home. The folder should be returned the following day, and in it, parents/guardians can place notes for Mrs. Stone or the school office.

Snack

Our fourth grade has lunch late in the day this year, so 1-2 snacks for the morning would be helpful. I do not have a "set" snack time, so students may eat when they need to (just not during Specials/Spanish).  In addition to a couple of light snacks, students will also want to bring a water bottle each day (they are able to refill at the water station down the hall). Don't hesitate to reach out should you have any questions or concerns.

NOTE! Please remember that we are a nut-free classroom. Thank you.

Transportation Changes

Parents/guardians - please be sure to let us know of any transportation changes by sending in a note in the "home to school" folder. This may include early dismissal for doctor visits or a change from bus to pick up. Thank you!

Birthdays

Due to health restrictions and allergies, we are asking that parents not send in food items in celebration of their child's birthday. We will help to make their day special! If you would like to send in a non-food item (like a bookmark, pencil, or sticker), that would be great! But, no pressure!

iPads

IMPORTANT! Please be sure your student brings their ipad to school each and every day. In addition, please be sure it has been charged at home. We may be doing activities each day that incorporate your student's use of the ipad, so it is important that they have it with them! Thank you SO very much for helping with this!
