School-to-Home Connection
Welcome! I am excited for the new school year and can't wait to get to know each student in the class.
I would like to create an email group to let parents/guardians know when this website has been updated. Please email me from the account you'd like to receive these updates and I will collect your email addresses.
Please review these pages to see what your child will be learning and how you can support him or her. I look forward to working with you to help your son/daughter reach their potential in first grade!
Reminders
Please ensure your child wears sneakers for P.E.
The purple " home to school" folder should be returned each school day. Any notes to the teacher may be put in this folder as well.
What to Bring:
Water bottle
Change of clothes (nurse’s request)
Lunch (unless purchasing school lunch)
Snack
Backpack
Dress according to the weather
How to Support Learning
Ask your child what they are writing about in school.
Read a story together and talk about the pictures. What other pictures could also tell the story?
Make math fun and add it to daily routines! For example, ask your child to help you measure and count as you bake something or play "I Spy" in the car by looking for numbers on signs and license plates.
