Senior Portraits - Class of 2025

The GHS Yearbook club is pleased to announce that EB Taylor Photography/ Premiere Portraits, of Glastonbury CT, will be the Senior Class Photographer.

Attention Seniors: 

The senior class photographer, EB Taylor, will be at GHS on Monday, September 9, 2024, to take your yearbook photo for free.  You must have your photo taken by EB Taylor to be included in this year's yearbook. 

As of right now, the photographs are scheduled to take place in the faculty dining room located in the hallway behind the cafeteria serving lines during the school day. Please listen to/ read daily announcements for any changes. 

There are additional costs if you choose your pose, add retouching, or order a portrait package.  Please see the handout below for all of this information!

If you have not already had your photo taken, made an appointment to have it taken at the studio, or miss the free day at GHS, you will have to call the studio and schedule an appointment where studio fees will apply.  The last day to get your picture taken so that it will be in the yearbook is September 30th.  

Dress Code: 

Please dress respectably, and remember these pictures are "forever" pictures. Please see the recommendations on EB Taylor Premier Portrait's website about making the most of your wardrobe. The school dress code should be followed at a minimum. No obscene shirts, T-shirts, spaghetti straps. No tank tops/tube tops / strapless blouses or dresses/halter tops, bare shoulders. No inappropriate graphic shirts. No hats, no sunglasses.

Please note: the only picture package that is contracted with the school is the Senior Picture Package which consists of:

1-8x10, 2-5x7, 8 Wallets

This package is available to purchase from either the free day(s) at the high school, the free sitting days at the studio (not offered this year due to COVID) or in combination with a scheduled photo sitting (sitting fees apply).

Beyond this package, normal studio rates/charges apply! Please be mindful of all costs when discussing packages with the photographer, as anything beyond the Yearbook Package mentioned above is normal studio rates/packages.

For seniors, you are not required to purchase a picture package to be featured in the Yearbook. Please be sure to examine all picture package options.  There is only one contracted photo package between GHS and EB Taylor/Premiere, the “Senior Picture Package”, which consists of 1 8x10, 2 5x7, and 8 wallet size photos. All other picture packages are at standard studio rates. If you choose not to purchase a picture package, please inquire about the “Yearbook Only” option when scheduling with the photographer.

Yearbook Only Photo Option- Please note this is just for students who simply want to appear in the yearbook, this does NOT include any prints, retouching or the ability to choose the image that will appear in the book. There is a fee if you want to be able to choose your image online, want your image retouched, or if you wish to purchase prints. For logistical, photo background, lighting consistency, and timeframe reasons, this is the only photographer that can be used for seniors to be featured in the book. 

Parents are of course welcome to use any photographer they wish for "Non-Yearbook" purposes, HOWEVER every senior wishing to appear in the Yearbook must be photographed by the contracted senior photographer, please see below for options.

NO cost option- "Yearbook Only":

• Each year the senior photographer will offer a NO COST OPTION available to any student wishing to appear in the Yearbook but does not wish to purchase a photo package.

• This service is typically ONLY OFFERED ON SEVERAL DAYS throughout the summer or fall, so please be on the lookout for mailings/ communications, or contact the photographer for available dates. 

• An additional free sitting day will be held at GHS in the fall, usually in the middle to the end of September. A second day is typically added for those students that were ABSENT on the day of the first session. Typically this will be held at EB Taylor Studios.

• Yearbook Only photo (picture will be in the yearbook, but you will not receive any prints) which is a NO COST option and the photographer picks your yearbook pose. If you want to pick the pose or retouch the photo that will appear in the book there will be a fee. If you want to order prints there will be a fee.
