Glastonbury Friends for Music Scholarship Opportunities

Glastonbury Friends For Music has proudly awarded scholarships since 1980 when we were first organized.  We currently award scholarships to Glastonbury High School seniors who show aptitude and dedication to the field of music.  Eligible students must be seeking a major, minor or concentration in a music related field at a 4 year college or university. Our goal is to encourage students to continue make music or music related activities an important part of their lives.  The scholarship fund is made possible by generous donations each year from parents and other dedicated members of our community.

A letter of recommendation is required from a Glastonbury High School or private music teacher along with the completed application. Scholarships range from $500 to $1000.  Each year, the scholarship application submission period is from about mid-February to mid-March, specific dates are announced each year.  Submissions received after the deadline date or incomplete forms will not be considered.  All applications will be reviewed after the deadline date, and winners will be formally presented with their scholarships at the Scholarship Awards Ceremony at GHS.  

Scholarship Application Deadline 

Applications and letters of recommendation must be received by Glastonbury Friends for Music no later than March 17th.  Documents received after 11:59pm on that date will not be considered.  The 2025 application deadline has passed.
