The Buttonball Lane Newspaper Club is comprised of students in the third, fourth and fifth grades who volunteer to meet once a week to create a school newspaper known as The Buttonball Lane Courant.
Students brainstorm ideas for articles and learn the art of research, interview, and creation of a news article. Each student reporter writes an article for the newspaper which is published twice a year in January and June.

The Buttonball Lane Newspaper Club was founded in 1991 by Barbara Snyder, a reading teacher. and was supported by the encouragement of administrators including Dr. Pat DaSilva, Principal. The newspaper has been in continuous publication since that date.
