GHS Baseball

Winter hitting groups will be adjusted to the following times on Tuesdays and Thursdays:

• 2:30-3:30: Seniors, Juniors

• 3:30-4:30: Sophomores

• 4:30-5:30: Freshmen

Tryout information:

Pitchers and catchers begin: Week of March 14th

Tryouts: March 21st and March 22nd week

Guidelines: Due 3/21 at tryouts 

- Name and Grade on top of paper

- 2 pages double spaced minimum, standard margins

- font size 12, standard font choices

- essay must be printed

Essay topics: 

Seniors: What legacy do you want to leave behind in the baseball program? 

Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen: Choose 2-3 of the topics below

1. Who is a teammate or coach that has inspired you

2. What is a time you have handled failure or adversity in sports or life

3. What is one of your best sports memories 

4. What is a time that defined your work ethic

5. What are the qualities of being a good teammate and how do you try to demonstrate them?

6. What are your personal and team goals for this season and beyond 

7. What keeps you motivated as an athlete and person
