After School Program

Kids’ Club

The Kids' Club program runs Monday through Friday following Glasgow Independent Schools' schedule.  The Kids' Club staff will pick your scholar up at the end of the regular school day.   Scholars will have some time before homework starts  to talk and socialize.  

Kids’ Club staff wants to make sure your child gets the full benefit of this program.  Your scholar will be given a chance to complete their homework under the supervision of Kids’ Club staff.  If your child does not have homework, they will have various activities to participate in to help sharpen their saw.  Homework time for the 2022/2023 program will begin at 3 pm.  Homework time will end at 3:30 pm.  From 3:40pm to 4:00pm your scholar will spend each day Monday through Thursday working on different academic skills for each day.  

Sign outs begin at 4pm.  The use of the ProCare system will be used, anyone picking the child up should be listed in the system and have the app downloaded on their phone.  Sign outs will be through the ProCare system.  

Everyone knows Highland Elementary is a fun place to be, while focusing on learning; Kids’ Club is an extension of that.  After homework time, age appropriate learning takes place in fun and exciting enrichments. Enrichment time is from 4:10 to 5 pm.  Most of the enrichments will change every 9 weeks.

Bus transportation is available for those inside the Highland district, the bus will leave Highland at 5:00 pm.  All other scholars must be picked up by 5:30 pm.

There is no fee for this program for the 2023/2024 school year.

8/22/23: The after school program is now full.  If you would like your student on the waiting list please make sure to fill out a packet and return to the school.  You may request a registration packet from your homeroom teacher or email angela.lindsey@glasgow.kyschools.us .
