Go Scotties!
Mr. Norman's Weekly Message:
It was another great week at GHS! We had student successes by becoming College Ready and our athletics were in full swing! It is also prom week, as tickets go on sale this week!
I will have a KSA Parent Night at the end of the month. Please look at social media for a formal invite and information.
Please take some time to complete this year's Title I Survey: Title I Survey
We will also be having Parent SBDM elections coming up in two weeks!
On Monday, 4/22, and Tuesday 4/23, we will be having a recess during 3rd block for students depending upon which lunch group they are in. On Monday, students in 1st and 2nd lunches will be participating and on Tuesday, 3rd, 4th, and 5th lunches will be participating. If you are not sure what this is, be sure to ask your students - we did one in the fall and they LOVED it! We'll be on the football field and we will have an ice cream truck here for students to purchase ice cream.
SPRING TESTING
Our spring testing will be coming up soon! Please see the dates below and review our testing Goals for the tests!

TITLE I INFORMATION:
REMINDERS:
Please find our KSA state scores HERE. Although the scores are not where we should be, we do have a plan to increase our scores and state ranking!
Students are not allowed to have any electronics (phones, earbuds, etc.) at any time during class. If they are confiscated, the parent must pick them up after school.
Attendance: An unexcused event can be a late check-in, an early check-out, or an all-day absence without a note/excuse. If your student has any of those, and they do not have a note, we will use the parent notes that you are allocated each school year (6). Once a student uses all of the parent notes and keeps accumulating unexcused events, they will be considered truant at 3 events and habitually truant at 6 events.
Please feel free to reach out to me via email: joey.norman@glasgow.kyschools.us if you have any questions or concerns!
GO SCOTTIES!
