Mrs. Williamson

Intervention Specialist

About Mrs. Williamson

I am an intervention specialist who will be co-teaching with Mrs. Gaudio in 6th grade and Mrs. Montgomery in Academic Connections. This is my second year in 6th grade working with Mrs. Gaudio. My previous 8 years at GMSE were spent in 7th and 8th grade ELA and Math. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Muskingum College in 2009 and my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Ohio Dominican University in 2012. In 2014, I completed a one year practicum with the Children’s Dyslexia Center to become an IMSLEC certified teacher in a multi-sensory approach to teaching reading called Orton-Gillingham. I just finished a three year practicum to become certified in Orton-Gillingham at an advanced level and am currently working with the Dyslexia Center and Gahanna Jefferson as a supervisor and trainer to year one teachers completing their practicums in Orton-Gillingham. My husband and I currently live in Gahanna and enjoy traveling, working out, bike riding, yoga, coaching volleyball, and reading. I can’t wait to get to know your child and help them grow this year.
