SHLT Summer Camps - Still time to join!
SHLT is partnering with Folsom School to offer three outdoor-based camps at the South Hero Recreation Park this summer, and two of the camps still have a couple of open spots! Students going into grades 3-5 are welcome to sign up for the"Things with Wings" Camp on July 18-22 and the "Dig In Garden" Camp on August 1-5. These free, half-day camps are based at Folsom and are Mon-Fri, 8am-12pm, with snacks provided.
At the 'Wings" camp we'll learn all about birds, bats, butterflies, build and install nesting boxes, plant native wildflowers for the benefit of bees and other flying friends, create our own bird-song inspired music, go on birding field trips and more!
At "Garden" camp we’ll experience the full range of garden activities, including sowing, planting, caring for and harvesting, as well as food prep and eating what we grow! Along the way we’ll also have a lot of fun doing art projects, reading stories, playing games and more.
