Daily Quick Writes

Write That Essay

We can use 'Write That Essay' each day to help us with our writing milage.

Click on the Target symbol (top left) to get a new writing prompt each day.

You should be aiming to writing for a sustained period of time without distraction (10-15) on the given top.

The more you practice, the easier writing will become.

Each day, try and increase your work count and feedback score. Also try to vary your sentence types.

Demonstrating your understanding of the sentence types:

This week we are learning about the 'Simple Sentence'. Create a poster to show you understand the fundamentals of how to write a 'simple sentence'.

Your poster should contain:

  • The sentence name as the title e.g. Simple Sentence.

  • An explanation/ definition of the sentence - use the information provided on the WTE modules to help you explain it. This should contain at least 3 sentences.

  • 6 different examples of the sentence.

  • At least 5 different examples of the key feature within the sentence e.g. subjects.

  • An image that relates to one of your sentences.
