Tangaroa - God of the Sea

One of Rangi and Papas children is called Tangaroa he is god of the ocean. Tangaroa is important to everyone that lives in Aotearoa because Tangaroa had provided food for everyone by fish in the ocean for everyone to catch for their food. Tangaroa uses the ocean and wakas made from wood for our ancestors to use to travel to Aotearoa so they could live life here. Rangi is Tangaroa's mother guardian of land and Papa, Tangaroa's father is guardian of the sky, wind and weather.
