About Me

This is my sixth year as a school counselor in the Girard City Schools.  Prior to that I served as a high school counselor for 16 years and a middle school Social Studies teacher for 7 years.  Earlier in my career I also coached middle school and high school volleyball, basketball and track.  I am passionate about  working with young people and nearly every job I have ever held has been working with youth in some capacity.  I was also blessed to be raised in a family of public school educators and so my passion for education and youth was instilled in me from a young age.

I graduated with a BS in Secondary Education from Kent State University in 1995 and I earned a Master in Education degree in School Counseling from Westminster College in 2002.  I am a member of the American School Counselor Association and the Ohio School Counselor Association.

I live in Austintown with my husband Brian and our two children, Logan (age 11) and Addison (age 8.)  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, reading, exercising and watching sports.
