Athletics in College

If you plan to compete in sports in college you will need to register with one of the Eligibility Centers.  The NCAA or NAIA eligibility centers  determine if a student is eligible to play based on their academic record.  The college you plan to attend will determine which center you should register with.  Both centers require ACT scores be sent directly from ACT so students should include them in their 4 college choices when registering for the ACT  (this will help you avoid a fee if you have to request to have it sent later).  The ACT code for NCAA is 9999.  The ACT code for NAIA is 9876.

NCAA Colleges- If you plan to attend or participate at a Division I or Division II school you need to register at www.eligibilitycenter.org.  Fee waivers are available for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.

NAIA Colleges - If you plan to attend and participate in sports this coming year at any of the following colleges, you will need to register at http://www.PlayNAIA.org. The Nebraska colleges are: Bellevue University, Concordia University, Doane College, Hastings College, Midland University, Nebraska Wesleyan University, Peru State College, College of St. Mary, and York College.  Fee waivers are available for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
