Classroom teachers will offer opportunities for students to engage with one another and explore learning opportunities.
Distance Learning will not be a minute to minute replacement of the school day, but is instead meant to provide learning opportunities to support skill development, collaboration and student support.
There will be regularly scheduled virutal sessions to connect with the teacher and classmates for lessons and enrichment.

You do not have to use all of the enrichment resources that are provided. Focus on the assigned materials and explores the extras based on your child's interest and as time allow.

Teacher have been providing learning opportunities for the last few weeks, but GUSD's Distance Learning will begin on April 13th and be in effect until June 5th.
No, our distance learning program is being designed so that time can be used flexibly. Teachers will establish set hours for virtual sessions.
Students are encouraged to participate in the virtual sessions. They provide a way for students to connect with their teacher and classmates.
At this time assignments will not be graded and count towards a report card score. Students will be able to receive feedback on some of their work and have opportunities to receive additional support in subjects or lessons that they may be struggling with.
Most of our resources have been chosen to allow flexibility in the type of devices that are being used.

4. Check your internet speed using a test like speedtest.net (external site). Internet speeds can be impacted by a number of things including: the quantity of devices using the same connection, or the type of work that is being conducted.
5. Power the device off, then on, and see if the issue continues.
