WHO ARE WE?
Gilroy FFA is one of 366 chapters apart of the California FFA Association. Established in 1931, only three years after the National FFA Organization was established, our chapter has a rich history and long-standing reputation for excellence. We consistently succeed in Career Development Events and Leadership Development Events, both in teams and individuals. Our students also do phenomenally in the show ring, often taking home various wins at the county fair. Whether as officers, livestock showmen, or active participants in various teams, our members strive for greatness and embody what it truly means to be a member of the FFA.
The FFA motto emphasizes the importance of education in agricultural practices, highlights the importance of hands-on experiences, career success, and giving back to the community in impactful ways. We at Gilroy FFA take this motto with us wherever we go, whether that be in the classroom, at competitions, in the show ring, or during our fundraisers.
Gilroy FFA is deeply committed to community involvement. For the past three years, we have proudly hosted a Community Farm Day, inviting non-FFA members to our school farm to learn more about our program and its impact. Throughout the year, we also organize various drives, including canned food and hygiene drives, to support those in need within our community. These initiatives not only allow us to give back but also demonstrate our commitment to fostering connections and showing that we care about the well-being of everyone around us.
