Roald Dahl, Mrs. Ferguson's favorite author, was born on September 13, 1916. He wrote many classic children's books, such as Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Witches, and The Gremlins! Many of his books have been made, and re-made, into popular movies!
