Below you will find a list of your child’s online activities for today's Snow Day. The assignments on this page are meant to replace in-school instruction.

Reading
1. Practice reading 1st grade heart words below, by pressing the arrow to go through each slide.
2. Watch the following video about double final consonants (You will have to scroll down a bit). Then, practice reading the words and story listed above the video.

Read this short story to an adult:
Jeff had a frog, Bell.
Bell was a red and black frog.
Jeff and Bell had to hop to the top of a hill of grass.
Then, they had to land next to the edge of a cliff to get to a well.
At the well, they had sips with no fizz.

Writing
Journal Writing: Remember to make complete sentences that begin with capital letters, make sense, and have punctuation at the end! Try to write 3 very good sentences for each entry!
Journal 1: Which weather do you like better, snowy or sunny? Write about why you like that weather better. (Don't forget to draw a picture)
