Title I Teachers, Sherry Wall and Tammy Donahue, delivered graded papers with personal notes and treats for their students at Halloween.
Dr. Donahue enjoys a moment with her student, Binxley, who is proudly sporting the fish he caught at the first Title I Family Reading Night!
Title I Teachers welcomed their students this year with a bright fall display. The note, "Let's Get to Reading!" was added to encourage their students.
At the first Title I Family Reading Nights, students were told the importance of being proud of their accomplishments and to let their lights shine. Then, seventh grade students sang "This Little Light of Mine" as Dr. Donahue and Mrs. Wall presented each student with a lantern filled with twinkle lights. Their new bulletin board reminds them to keep letting their lights shine!
These Title I students are all winners of prizes for our At-Home Reading Program! Look how brightly their lights are shining!
The Title I program is federally funded and provides extra assistance in a small group setting for reading in grades K-3. Parental involvement and encouragement is a critical part of every student's success, and we encourage you to join us! If you have questions or concerns, please contact either Mrs. Wall or Dr. Donahue by email or by calling the school at (540) 626-7281.
