Welcome to 6th Grade

Hola! I'm Ms. Cardona.  I was born in the Philippines on May 21st; which I recently revisted four summers ago. I am half Mexican and half Filipino. I have three kids and two chihuahuas. My oldest daughter graduated from ASU last year and is currently going to GCU for grad school. My middle child is a senior at ASU. My baby just graduated from Highland High School last year.   My two furballs are Ceasar and Gizmo. C is a short-haired chihuahua that is 16 years old and Giz is a long-haired chihuahua that is 15 years old. I have one brother and one sister; I'm the oldest. My sister lives in Mesa and my brother lives in Denver, Colorado. She works for Sonora Quest and he's a real estate photographer. I have been teaching for 18 years; all at TME. This is my seventh year in 6th grade; I taught 4th and 5th too. 

In my spare time, I love hiking, fishing, watching movies, and taking short road trips with my family. My favorite things are waterfalls, sushi, steak, Twix, beef jerky, Cheetos, and Thai coffee. I prefer red meat and almost anything with caramel or toffee. I enjoy watching movies, except scary ones! I shop at Ross, go to sporting events, and like the color black. Fresh ginger, garlic, water chestnuts, or dishes in the sink are things that I do not like.  I live in Queen Creek, but I graduated high school in Yuma. I played soccer in jr high and high school. Arizona State University is where I got my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. Lastly, I am very passionate about teaching and believe all kids can succeed.
