I was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on a farm. I received my degree in Early Childhood Education PreK-4 and Special Education PreK-8 from Waynesburg University in 2015. Throughout college, I taught in several countries for brief periods: Jamaica, Bahamas, and Haiti. Upon graduation, I moved to St. Michael's, Arizona to teach on the Navajo Nation Reservation as an Autistic Support Teacher through Mercy Volunteer Corp. After my year of service was over, I got hired on and continued to teach on the "Rez" for another year.
While teaching on the "Rez," I met my AMAZING husband. We quickly married in 2016 and moved to Mesa, AZ in 2017. I was hired at Sonoma Ranch as the SPICE II Kindergarten teacher. Since then, my role has expanded to K-1. I absolutely love teaching in SPICE II. My favorite part would be how raw and honest the students are - they tell me exactly how it is!
Outside of school, I am very active in my church, especially with the children and youth. I love to paint, to take pictures, and to make up silly songs with my husband.
