- Typing Pal - This is the typing program used in many districts
- We Write A Story - This website allows you to start a story and then allow others to add on. It's a bit like an online "madlibs" where the end result is a wacky and funny story because the consecutive writers only see the last sentence written. Once they add on they pass it on to the next writer until it is sent back to you for writing the final paragraph. A fun writing game!
- Bitesize - Bitesize is an educational website that was created by the BBC to help students in the U.K. meet their learning objectives. There are many language arts games on this site.
- Mortifying Monday - This is a fun, choose your own adventure story created by PBS.
- Make Beliefs Comix - Get creative and make your own comic strips with images and text.
- Online Rhyming Dictionary - Never be caught without the write rhyming word when writing your own poetry or your own rap songs. Just type in a word and you'll get a list of rhyming words with links to definitions.
- Learn Out Loud - Access free audio books of classic works of literature. Available as streaming pod-casts or as downloadable files.
- Learning Games for Kids - Word games to help build vocabulary based on classic literature such as David Copperfield and Huckleberry Fin.
- Move a Word Interactive - powered by flashplayer. This is a fun way to play with words and make "found poems."

Typing Games
- Typing Test Grades This is a good one to do at the beginning of a keyboarding session and then end with the same typing test to gauge how they are doing. To take the advanced typing test the users have to log in. The users can use their Google log in to have the account.
- Sense-lang Typing This keyboarder’s dream offers lessons as well as a plethora of games. This could be a supplement for students once they have gone through all of the lessons in a typing site to continuing to practice keyboarding skills
- Power Typing Grades 3-12 Good website to go through all of the lesson on the keys on a keyboard, however it is very boring. No graphics and kids get tired of this one very quickly. It will save what lessons you have already completed and your progress if you click on save my lessons button.
- Typing Test.com Grade 3-12 The user has the ability to choose a test for 1-3 minutes and 8 different lessons to be tested on. There are other tabs on this web page that have a typing tutor, Touch typing, games and certificates. Some of the activities on this website have to be paid for to use. There is a lot that is now free too.
