Boy, I miss you all so much!! I hope you are all happy and healthy. This is my 15th year teaching art. I look forward to this new adventure together. It will be different from years past , yet we are on this adventure together. Art is more important than ever to share and communicate our feelings and to take a break from all our stresses. We will all have to be patient with one another as we navigate these new waters. I will be teaching specials online to begin with and hopefully we can transition to in person classes in the near future. Please feel free to contact me at any time. I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, where great teachers helped me develop a passion for art. My goal is to instill the same passion for art as I received as a child. I received a B.S. in elementary education and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from NAU. I have been teaching art in the Gilbert Public Schools since 2005.

Your student will have art class for 40 minutes every two weeks(When we are back to school in person). Every minute counts in art! In class, students will have the opportunity to draw, paint, and sculpt in various media while learning about the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. They will also be challenged to think critically and creatively.

I am the art teacher at Carol Rae Ranch, Islands, with overflow at Highland Park Elementary. I am at each campus every other week. I enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with my husband, three children and dog Holly.
