Rules

#1 Be an active learner

This includes participating during lectures, whole group discussions and activities, and small group activities.

#2 Communicate and Listen

Tell others how you are feeling when you need to. Listen to others when they need you to. Apply the solutions from these communications.

#3 Make safe choices

Physically make sure that you are not going to hurt yourself or others.

Recognitions

Students earn recognition by all staff through Hawk Awards. These may be earned when staff notices that a student is doing something for the greater good.

When a student receives a Hawk Award they put it in the draw box in the front office as soon as a staff member tells them to do so.

Every Friday we are in school, Principal Roth draws names from the box. Students’ names who are called will receive chosen treats from the front office.

Consequences

Colored cards are given to students as visual reminders of their own behavior and the consequence that follows the behavior

Pink card, a verbal reminder to correct behavior.

Yellow card, a visit to our buddy room to plan a course of action.

Blue card, a call home to revise the action plan with parent/guardian support.

Purple card, a visit with Principal Roth to discuss the final plan of action.
