Hello DRJHS Family! My name is Andrew Clarke and this is my 12th year at Desert Ridge Junior High School. I teach 7th Grade History and Social Sciences (Regular and Honors), 8th Grade AVID Elective, and I am the Boys Soccer Head Coach at DRJHS and DRHS.
I was born and raised right here in Arizona. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education with an emphasis in History. No surprise, I love history and traveling to historical sites. I am also a huge sports fan. I enjoy watching and playing sports as well as participating in many fantasy sports leagues.
I have been married to my wife for 11 years and together we have the most fun, adorable, and energetic boys who are 7 and 2.
Please feel free to reach out to me via email. I will be checking it consistently during normal school hours and beyond that as well.
Google Classroom - Guardian View
Google Classroom is a web-based learning environment. When logged into Google Classroom, students can collaborate with their peers and teachers. Google Classroom offers a digital safe space for students to view class announcements, access posted course content, view posted assignments, and turn in completed work. Only authorized GPS users (students, teachers, and other designated staff members) can have access to a GPS Google Classroom.
Parents can access their child’s teachers’ Google Classroom in one of the following ways:
From the school-issued Chromebook, ask the student to log in and launch the Google Classroom App. Please note that any activity in Google Classroom is documented under the student’s login and it would be inappropriate for a parent to communicate with the teacher or other students in Google Classroom. Parents should use their personal email to digitally communicate with the teacher.
From any computer with internet access, click this link https://classroom.google.com and have the student login with their GPS Google Apps for education username and password. Please note that any activity in Google Classroom is documented under the student’s login and it would be inappropriate for a parent to communicate with the teacher or other students in Google Classroom. Parents should use their personal email to digitally communicate with the teacher.

The teacher or administrator emails you an invitation for a particular student.
The teacher or administrator can send the invitation to any email address.
In your email program, open your email invitation.
Click Accept.
If you’re not the guardian, click I’m Not The Guardian.
You can choose the frequency of the emails, such as daily or weekly.
You can unsubscribe or remove yourself from Classroom at any time.
