In Mr. Charlie's Class We...

1. FOLLOW A DAILY SCHEDULE.  I believe that structure, routine, and consistency are so important in the classroom.  

2. LEARN.  In the classroom students will learn in a one on one setting and in small groups. We use a wide variety of curriculum; STAR Autism Support, TouchMath, PCI Reading, Reading Milestones, and social and emotional supports for regulation. 

3. HAVE FUN.  I like to use music, cooking, art, games and other hands-on activities to engage the students in learning. I want the students to enjoy coming to school. 

4. MAKE FRIENDS. In school we meet some of our best friends. In the classroom we work on learning to greet each other, communicating our feelings, sharing, taking turns, and ways to encourage each other.
