College/Career development is more critical now than ever! We endeavor to help prepare our students to move seamlessly from middle school to high school and from there, onto a productive and successful path to their chosen future.
Possible paths include, but are not limited to:
Technical certificates
Technical diplomas
Associate's degree (typically 2 years) at a technical/community college
Bachelor's degree (typically 4 years) at a college or university
Military
*If your student chooses a path to a four-year college or university in Arizona, planning and taking the proper set of courses in high school will be critical to make the most of their class schedule and high school experience.
Your student may choose to enter the workforce after graduating from high school. Making sure that they earn an industry-recognized certificate while in school gives them an added boost, providing specific skills needed in a given career.
We have included some resources below that students may find interesting or helpful in determining their paths.
There are many great college and career activities, as well as information you can find through Arizona Career Information System. GPS students can access the system by clicking on the AzCIS icon on your Rapid Identity and it will log you in automatically. Check it out!
