The district has asked us not to include our emails on these sites, but instead list it as Firstname>.<Lastname>@gilbertschools.net. All you have to do is write in my first and last name. For example if my name was John Doe you would write John.Doe@gilbertschools.net
I will be available during my office hours: M-F from 7:30 AM-7:45 AM and 3:00 PM-3:30 PM. During these times I will be able to answer questions and emails right away.
Welcome to Harris Elementary,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is John Kim, and I graduated from ASU with my masters in special education in 2017 and masters in educational leadership this year. I grew up in California my entire life, before moving out to Arizona to further my education. Prior to completing my education, I was in the United States Marine Corp for a number of years. I am engaged to a wonderful woman and we have a beautiful daughter in the third grade. I undeniably love to teach and it is my mission to collaborate with our educators to improve student engagement and create life long learners to all our students. This year is going to be full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures.

It is so important to keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need. I am interested in what strategies or interventions work at home, so that they can be implemented in the classroom.
