Mrs. Ballard
Lisa Ballard began her teaching career in 2016. Before teaching at Highland Junior High School, she taught elementary and high school band in Mesa Public School.
Mrs. Ballard earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Flute Performance from the University of Montana in 2016. She earned a Master's of Music Education from Boston University in 2022.
Mrs. Ballard plays flute, piccolo, clarinet, and saxophone. She has performed with the Desert Echos Flute Project, Central Arizona Flute Ensemble, Scottsdale Concert Band, and South Mountain Latin Jazz Band. She is an active musician in her community and enjoys performing in the pit orchestra for musicals including productions at the Herberger Theater, Phoenix Theater, Mesa Encore Theater, Zao Theater, and Arizona Broadway Theater.
