Hello!

it's so nice to meet you! I'm Sarah Baxter, a 7th grade science teacher here at greenfield junior! This will be my 6th year teaching. For my first two years of teaching, I was at highland Park Elementary as a 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade math resource teacher. I loved my time with the little ones at the elementary school, but those crazy junior high kiddos know how to pull my heart strings.

The importance of education has always been part of my life. Growing up in the bay Area in California, I was surrounded by peers and adults who were doing outstanding things in education, science, and technology. My 4th grade teacher, Ms. Johnson, made the most impact on me when she let me spend every lunch hour in her classroom helping grade papers and make photocopies. I was lucky to have amazing teachers that showed me school is not just a place to learn math, English, science, and history, but a place to learn life lessons, make mistakes, and make memories.

I hope to pass on my love of school to my students. It is important for students, especially junior high kids, to know that it's not all about grades and test scores, but about your character and the person you decide to show up as everyday.
