Welcome to my Google Classroom.

My name is Joy Myers. I love teaching first grade at Greenfield. I have many years of experience teaching six and seven-year old students. This is my 3^rd year of teaching in Gilbert. I graduated from Evangel University with a BS in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I continued my education at Northern Arizona University and earned my MS in Curriculum and Instruction. I have also earned an English as a Second Language endorsement and a Reading endorsement. My husband and I have 2 sons, 1 daughter-in-law, and 1 grandson.

When I am not doing school activities, I enjoy reading, watching or going to Diamondbacks games, walking, or playing games. Also, I enjoy traveling to see my grandson or just spending time with my family.

I enjoy helping eager students learn as much as they can about topics that will help them be successful, well rounded individuals. My classroom is filled with encouragement to succeed and perseverance. I maintain high expectations for learning for my students and myself. We celebrate each other!
