Be highly effective in their role and inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn
Demonstrate leadership in educational activities at the school, district, state or national level that take place both within and out of the school setting
Have the respect and admiration of students, parents, and colleagues
Can only be awarded to individuals who have not earned this honor previously

We recognize that each and every staff member plays an integral part in educating our students. GEF is a district-wide organization that champions every student, every teacher, every staff member and every campus through enrichment, support, and innovation.
Founded in 2001, GEF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Over the last 19 years, through events, grants, donations and corporate sponsors, GEF has raised and contributed nearly $1.7 M to students, staff and programs for Gilbert Public Schools.
