We encourage all parents and students to consider Honors coursework should they have interest. Students who are currently enrolled in Honors classes do not have to re-apply for Honors participation and DO NOT need additional teacher recommendations. These students will be 'rolled up' into Honors courses in the area in which they qualify.

Honors courses are offered in English Language Arts, Math, Science, and History & Social Sciences. Courses are designed and implemented to demand more challenging involvement on the part of the student. Click below to read more about the program to determine if your student should be considered.

New to GPS Families: If after reading through the Honors Guidelines, you would like your student to be considered for one or more Honors courses, click below to submit a formal request.
Continuing GPS Families: If you would like your student to be considered for one or more Honors courses, please contact your student's current teacher in the content area that you are seeking placement and ask them to submit a Teacher Recommendation Form. As a parent, you do not need to submit a Request Form.
