Hooray for ART!
My name is Kathryn Keeler and I am very excited to share my love of art with the students of Settlers Point and Canyon Rim Elementary schools. In the Gilbert District, art is offered on a biweekly basis. Your student will have art class for 40 minutes every other week. Art is on B week and we will start the week of Aug 10. You will join me live in my webex room at your assigned time. Every minute counts in art!

I look forward to this new adventure together. It will be different from years past , yet we are on this adventure together. Art is more important than ever to share and communicate our feelings and to take a break from all our stresses. We will all have to be patient with one another as we navigate these new waters. I will be teaching specials online as we begin the school year until we transition to in person classes. Please feel free to contact me at any time. Get to know me
Get to know me
I have a BA in Art Education K-12 and have been teaching art since 2003. I went on a study abroad program to Paris France where I got to study art at the Louvre every week. I have taught in public schools, charter schools, home school groups, community classes and out of my home. I have been teaching in Gilbert school district since 2014.
I am married and have 4 kids, 3 dogs and a cat. I love the mountains and being outside. I love to bike, hike, swim, paddleboard, play sports and coach sports. I especially love to play volleyball and race in triathlons.

I am excited to be teaching and to work with your child as they explore the world of art. We are going to have a fun time discovering and creating in art this year. We will be be creating projects while learning drawing, painting, sculpture and multimedia. They will learn about the elements of art and apply them to their artworks. We will learn about various artists and make many new discoveries.
