Traditional Paper and Pencil Option

The situation surrounding Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Texas schools is fluid. Therefore, this website is being updated regularly. Please check back for updates.

Giddings ISD is committed to provide the best learning experience possible given the current situation.

For families who do not have access to technology, Traditional Paper and Pencil Instructional Lessons and Materials may be obtained in the following locations at the times listed below:

  • Giddings Elementary School, after April 3, 2020, packet picket will only be held on Tuesdays, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM in the bus lane of the Giddings Elementary School.

  • Giddings Intermediate School, Giddings Middle School, and Giddings High School, Tuesdays, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM in the car rider lane of each school.

Lesson packets are designed to provide enough materials to last for one to two weeks.

In order to help stop the spread of the virus, Traditional Paper and Pencil assignments will be picked up at the campus but will not be returned to the school to be graded.(We do not want to cross-contaminate the home and school environment.) However, teachers may give answer keys for the activities provided. Update (3/24/2020): GISD is in the process of developing a plan for the evaluation and feedback of traditional paper and pencil instruction.
