The first full week of summer band has been rewarding, as we are hearing the first notes of the new music from the group. We are excited to show the community a preview on August 14th!

Forms Due August 1, 2023 - please make sure that all required forms have been completed, signed & submitted to Mr. Tiger by August 1, 2023.

Uniform Personal Items & Supplies - take a moment to review the items we will need all band members to purchase / have on hand by August 14, 2023. For best pricing / availability, please purchase as soon as possible -- some of these items could be harder to find as we get closer to the start of school. 

UNIFORMS ORDER FORM / SIZING

Make sure to get your order form completed / submitted to Mr. Tiger by August 1. Payment won't be due until items arrive -- and the band program is hoping to cover the cost of the Casual uniform shirt this year.

If you have not been able to attend summer band due to another conflict, but plan to be in band this year, please make the time to come by and get sized for our new performance uniforms. We need to get the order in by next week.

• Baseball Pant Waist Sized (see a Director for waist measurement)

Taking the program over without missing a beat, the Mighty Buffalo Band will now be under the direction of Mr. Anthony Tiger. Further keeping things consistent for the band, Mr. Austin Leonard will take over as the Head Middle School Director and Mr. Joseph Bankston continue in his role as an Associate Director.  The newest addition to our team is Ms. Raelynn Najera, who will also be serving as an Associate Director. Mr. Tiger is looking forward to introducing some new things this upcoming school year. He says, 

"I'm excited about the new year & can't wait to get started! Expect some changes, along-side many of the traditions we all love staying in place. Should be a good mix of old & new!"

Speaking of changes, the directors have decided to change up the Summer Band schedule -- starting with 'Everything Day' on July 24th and full band rehearsals beginning on July 25th.

July 24th - Summer Band Kick-off (1PM-5PM, 6PM-8PM)

July 25-28th - Summer Band Full - Band Rehearsals (7:30AM-4PM)

July 30-Aug 4 - Summer Band - Full Band Rehearsals (7:30AM-4PM)

Aug 7-Aug 11 - Summer Band - Full Band Rehearsals (4-7PM)

Aug 14 - Summer Band Last Day - Show Preview (5-7PM)

Band student leadership is also undergoing a revamp this year -- starting with a training to be held July 17th - 19th at the Giddings Band Hall.
