Meet Ms. Jones

About Me

I am Sunshine Jones, a dedicated educator and seasoned performer with decades of experience in professional music performance. My stage background and private studio teaching has led me to embrace classroom and ensemble instruction with equal passion and joy.

Outside the classroom, I am an active musician, performing as a guitarist and singer-songwriter at venues throughout the tri-state area. My experience as a performer has not only strengthened my musicianship but has also reinforced the importance of organization, collaboration, and discipline, skills I strive to instill in my students.

Education and Training

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education (Vocal) from Rowan University, where I also studied classical guitar. My training includes extensive study in both classical and contemporary/jazz vocal techniques. I also earned a Master of Education in Educational Technology and Instructional Design from Western Governors University (WGU).My musical journey is further enriched by years of study in rock and jazz guitar, as well as piano and other instruments.

My Vision

I am committed to building a vibrant band and chorus program that nurtures students’ musical abilities while fostering confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Together, we will explore a wide range of genres, from classical and Broadway to contemporary styles, encouraging creativity and self-expression along the way.

I am thrilled to be part of the Gibbsboro community and look forward to sharing this musical journey with you.
