Current Status
Builds Instructional Partnerships
Although the staff has regular access to collaborate with the paraprofessional who works in the library media center, teaching staff have had limited time to collaborate with a licensed library media specialist.
Empowers Students as Creators
During the 2022-23 school year, the library paraprofessional began working with elementary school students on STEAM activities. The district was also awarded a grant from Ashley Furniture Industries and the Ron and Joyce Wanek Foundation that was used to implement robotics in the middle-high school that year.
For the 2023-24 school year, Ashley Furniture Industries awarded the district with a VEX Robotics grant to provide robotics in the elementary school. In addition, the library paraprofessional is leading a middle school robotics team that will participate in a local competition.
