Nantou County Guanghua Elementary School Introduction
Guanghua Elementary School is located in Zhongxing New Village, Nantou City, Nantou County, Taiwan. Established in 1957, the school is surrounded by the garden city environment of Zhongxing New Village, with rich natural ecology and cultural resources. It provides children with a diverse and beautiful place to grow and learn.
Guided by the spirit of “The greatest virtue is like water,” Guanghua values care, respect, creativity, and international understanding. Our curriculum connects the nature, history, and culture of Zhongxing New Village, helping students learn about their hometown while sharing Taiwan’s stories with the world.
Guanghua values digital learning, bilingual education, and international education. Students use iPads and VR technology to support their learning, creativity, expression, and independent exploration. The school actively promotes international exchange. Our students have joined school immersion programs with schools in South Korea, Japan, and Australia. Each semester, all upper-grade students also take part in online exchanges with peers from Japan and South Korea, expanding their global perspectives.
In addition, Guanghua provides gifted education and special education programs. The school also offers a variety of activities, including table tennis, football, dance, taekwondo, Go, insect study, robotics, children’s orchestra, and track and field, supporting students’ diverse interests and talents.
In recent years, Guanghua has also welcomed overseas students through the “Nostalgia for Taiwan” experience program. We warmly welcome children from around the world to discover Taiwan, visit Guanghua, and experience our warm and vibrant campus.

南投縣光華國民小學簡介 光華國小位於臺灣南投縣南投市中興新村，創立於1957年。中興新村擁有花園城市的特色，校園周邊自然生態與人文資源豐富，為孩子提供多元而美好的成長環境。 光華以「上善若水」為辦學精神，重視關懷、尊重、創意與國際理解。課程結合中興新村的自然、歷史與文化，發展在地特色校本課程，引導孩子認識家鄉，也將臺灣故事與世界連結。 光華重視數位學習、雙語教育與國際教育。學生運用 iPad 與 VR 科技進行學習，培養創造力、表達力與自主探索能力。學校也積極推動國際交流，學生曾與韓國、日本、澳洲等國學校進行入班體驗；高年級學生每學期也與日本、南韓同儕進行線上交流，拓展全球視野。 此外，光華提供資優教育與特殊教育課程，並開設桌球、足球、網球、舞蹈、圍棋、昆蟲研究、機器人、兒童樂隊與田徑等多元社團活動，支持孩子適性發展、展現才能。 近年來，光華也透過「戀念臺灣」體驗計畫接待海外學生。
