Justin Antonipillai @ Joe Lonsdale's
BLUF: Use Justin to help understand feasibility of, and advance Pryon partnership
Justin Anitopoli: We've known Justin for a long time. He is working with a company called Pryon that is doing large scale RAG. They are series B and selling to USG and commercial enterprise customers. Founder, Igor, was behind Siri and Alexa. They have briefed Matt Skaggs and he loves it. They have a couple USG customers. Jeremy Holman (who we spent an hour with here at SXSW) is former Delta and helping to create customer programs in the DoD/IC.
Follow-up: Email Justin and Jeremy to ask for a conversation with Igor. Target is to assess partnership opportunities around C2Next or another AFC engagement.
Hank Crumpton @ Joe Lonsdale's
BLUF: Hank will likely want to invest. Should be super-connected in IC.
Hank Crumpton: We've known Hank for a long time, but the reconnection was awesome. Hank has had a lot of success after government service and is still mega-connected. He has a venture fund called Crumpton Ventures and was very interested in investing in Ghostdog. Not a financial play for us, but a potential credibility and connector play.
Follow-up: I have Hank's cell and email. Bubba or I will email him to set up a follow up Zoom call to share more about the vision of Ghostdog.
Follow-up: Read his book, The Art of Intelligence, so we understand his perspective on intelligence.
GEN Rainey @ Josh Baer's
BLUF: AFC Demo exercises will be a good place to show GD, and get some pilot funding.
Army Futures Command has Project Convergence and C2Next. There should be some demo/pilot money available in support of those programs.
As many others have, GEN Rainey confirmed COL Matt Skaggs is definitely the right guy for those conversations.
Dr. John Beieler @ Josh Baer's
BLUF: ODNI wants a demo in DC, and potentially participate in the IQT WP
John is the Assistant DNI for Science and Technology at ODNI. Joe Swansberg reports to him.
Discussed the use of Ghostdog across the IC.
Great discussion on the use of RAG and how Ghostdog is leveraging RAG in GhostGPT and Contexts.
CSM Brian Hester @ Secret Salon
BLUF: Good triangulation on Army Future's Command
Discussed Project Convergence and C2Next.
Texted (Sean) already to follow-up
Dr. Alex Miller @ Secret Salon
BLUF: Alex is going to connect with IQT and NGIC
Alex is the CTO for the Army Chief of Staff (4 Star General)
Gave Alex a full overview of Ghostdog.
Thinks DIA could make it the new Intellink.
Should track as a "Service of Concern" which means it can get assigned a functional manager and not have to go into a PEO for follow-on funding.
Need to figure out how to cohabitate with AIDP (which is Palantir)
Talked about Scarlet Dragon and COL Joe O'Callahan (see here) and the workflow between the Maven Smart System (MSS, which is a big NGA effort) and AIDP. All of this actually comes back to MIDB and it's transition to MARS.
All of this is relevant for our trip to Ft. Liberty next week (March 20) to meet with COL O'Callahan.
He wants to get NGIC to join the IQT WP, especially if NASIC joins.
Doug Beck @ Josh Baer's
BLUF: Going to connect with the DIU AI lead to see how they can help.
Doug is the Director of the DIU
Talked with Doug about how they could help Ghostdog. I asked who on his team would be the best to connect with. He suggested their AI lead.
Doug said they can fund up to $500M for prototype.
Doug gave me his official contact info and his secret email.
Follow-up: will email him after SXSW
Jay Wisham to Jeremy Holman
BLUF: Will be important in our Pryon partnership conversations.
Jeremy worked with COL Matt Skaggs while at JSOC.
Pryon does RAG for Intelligence.
They are participating in Project Convergence.
Have a couple other funded SOCOM projects.
Lisa Sanders @ Josh Baer's
BLUF: Technical Experimentations can preceed Trident Spectre
Lisa is the Director of S&T at SOCOM
We discuss Technology Experimentations and Trident Spectre and the value of SOF Week.
She recommended above all else to follow the right channels to get involves with SOCOM versus getting a GO to push through.
Whit White in the Lobby
BLUF: Shyam, Aki, and Palantir Integration per Alex Miller.
Going to bring up partnership with Ghostdog in his meetings this week with Aki and Shyam at Palantir.
Craig has deep relationship because he helped him transiition out of the military.
Replaced Ross at AFC.
MG Miles Brown @Joe Lonsdale's
BLUF: Miles will take Ross's job and become a 3 star. We need to keep him in the loop on Project Convergence and C2Next.
MG Miles Brown: Miles is the CoS for GEN Rainey. We got to know him and put in a plug to "set the room" for a meeting with R4, Skaggs, and whomever else. As with virtually everyone we've talked to in and around AFC, Matt Skaggs is defintely the right guy for us. Sidenote, I also noticed that Miles came from the job that Rob Born now has at 1st CAV. Rob replaced Miles. Small world.
Follow-up: IF we have trouble getting Matt to go to next steps with us, Craig asks Miles what we need to do to "set the room" for us with Matt.
Joe Swansburg @ Joe Lonsdale's
BLUF: Joe will be part of the demo to ODNI
Joe works for ODNI.
Was good to chat with him. Specifically, Joe told us about an effort that is happening right now from ODNI to have IQT work programs count as "SBIR 1 and 2" so that follow on funding can do directly to SBIR 3. This would be huge for us. We need to figure out how to support this effort. Apparently it is with Legislators at the moment.
Additionally, John Beiler, Joe's boss and I had a chance to get to know each other and he invited me to DC for a demo.
And lastly, ODNI announced the IIU (their version of DIU) this weekend. We could be a early win for that program.
Follow-up: Make sure Joe knows about our visit with John. Ask Joe about progress of IQT/SBIR work. Ask Joe how we get "involved" with IIU.
Abdul Subhani at JW Marriott
BLUF: Texas ANG, USMA, CNAS, G6, and Doug Bush
Abdul Subhani is a career technologist and entrepreneur. He balances his role as the president and CEO of a tech company with several service‐oriented roles, such as the civilian aide to the secretary of the Army for the Texas capitol region and the distinguished innovation chair at the United States Military Academy at West Point. He also serves on the board of advisors for the Center for a New American Security as well as in several advisory roles across the country.
Abdul is going to get us in with Texas ANG.
Abdul is going to set up a meeting with Doug Bush in his office in DC.
Abdul is inviting me to USMA to the Keynote in May.
Abdul offered to bring me into the CNAS advisory board.
Adbul offered to get the G6 to see a demo of GD.
Mislav at Perry's
BLUF: Marlin Spike is going to want to invest.
Incredible IQT connections.
Mislav worked for Hank Crumpton for 14 years.
Small-ish fund <$100M
Need to assess what value they bring.
Follow-up: Mislav already emailed me to get a demo end of week.
Ross @ Josh Baer's
BLUF: May be opportunity to have Texas A&M students use GD for testing.
Ross is the Executive Director of the Bush Combat Development Complex at TAMU
He has lot's of connectivity and brings lot's of VIPs through.
Could set up a Ghostdog Lab to have students use and train on Ghostdog.
GEN Hokanson @ Josh Baer's
BLUF: When I get my clearances, can get a VIP tour of Mansfield Cyber Operation
Dan is the Commander of the NGB.
We talked about the new Guard cyber mission.
We also talked about countersign and how that could have helped in the recent ANG leak.
Nand Mulchandadi @ Perry's
BLUF: Craig getting demo with Nand
Nand is the CTO of CIA
Craig spent a long time with Nand.
What Ghostdog does is Nand's number one priority.
Craig has Perry's open up (even though they were closed already) for a special dinner and they had the food on the table and wine opened when they got there. Epic!
Jim Robertson @ 8VC Party
BLUF: Great ally that'll get ODNI's attention and take a meeting
Jim is the Deputy Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Elise Stefanik of the House Armed Services Committee.
Jim turned out to be an Army Reserve Intelligence Officer, so completely understood the importance of Ghostdog
He mentioned several times members on the ODNI team he wants to introduce so they can have the full visibility across the 18 agencies they oversee
Next Steps: Email Jim a short whitepaper/slides on Ghostdog
