Message from the Principal

Dear Parents

We've had a wonderful week at GPS and so I am changing the format of this newsletter to share more photos of our trips and Eid Al Eithad Day celebrations. Thank you all for joining us and making the celebration so memorable.

Thursday 5th December - Aqua Park ( FS, Year 1 and Year 2)

Friday 6th December - FS Art Gallery Open at 11.00 am (all invited)

Thursday 12th December - X- Park trip (FS and Year 1)

Friday 13th December - Winter Festival and performance - all to wear red, green, white, silly sweaters (all invited - singing mandatory 😁)

What we've done

The children had a fantastic trip to the camel farm this week where we learned about some of the different animals that live in the UAE. In writing this week we have been exploring icons of the UAE and doing some research on different icons as well as our favourites. We have been doing labeling and descriptive writing using our phonic knowledge. In math, we have been exploring one less within 5 and looking at one less using songs and hands on activities. In FS2 phonics we have learned the sounds y/ z/ zz/ qu, please practise these sounds at home and ensure your child brings their reading files to school each week to receive a new reading book.
